About this test
"Do I actually like him?" sounds like an absurd question from the outside — how can anyone be unsure about their own feelings? In practice it happens constantly. When someone is part of the furniture of your life, attachment and attraction blur into each other and become hard to tell apart. Habit does a very convincing impression of love: both of them hurt when the person disappears.
This test avoids asking you directly, because a direct question always returns the answer you want to hear. Instead it looks at the edges: who you mentally narrate your day to, what happens in your chest when he mentions someone else, whether his face reads as beautiful or simply familiar, what scene appears when you imagine a future. Those answers lie far less.
A high score doesn't tell you what to do. It tells you that you've already decided, and that the only thing left is admitting it — to yourself first, and to him if you choose to.
How it works
Each answer is worth 0 to 4 points depending on how much attraction, rather than attachment, it reveals. The total is scaled to 100 and placed against the distribution of other participants. Nothing leaves your browser.
