About this test
Work-life balance is almost never decided by the number of hours. It's decided by the border: knowing when the day ends, and what's left of you once it's closed. Two people working fifty hours each can live in completely different realities depending on whether they answer messages in the evening.
This test looks at four places where that border usually leaks. Work messages outside hours, which quietly turn an evening into on-call duty with nobody having decided it. Holidays you never fully switch off for, which deliver one weekend's worth of rest in two weeks. Guilt when you stop, which makes rest ineffective even when you take it. And confusing the job with the self, which is the costliest of the four.
No band here makes a diagnosis. The score describes the state of a border, not the worth of a person — and a border, unlike a personality, can be redrawn in a few weeks.
How it works
Each answer is worth zero to four points and the total is scaled to 100: the higher the score, the cleaner the separation between the two lives. The questions ask about observable behaviour — the time of your last reply, unused leave, where you work at home — rather than general impressions.
This test is provided for entertainment purposes only. It is not a diagnosis or professional advice.
