About this test

Nobody manages money with a calculator. Two people on identical salaries, with identical bills and identical ages, will make opposite decisions about the same unexpected 800 — and the gap doesn't come from how well informed they are. It comes from what money represents to them: protection, permission, proof, connection, or a subject best left closed.

This test separates six relationships with money that turn up everywhere. The ant accumulates by reflex more than by plan. The grasshopper pays cash for the present and refuses to live in waiting. The worrier monitors numbers that are perfectly fine. The strategist allocates every unit and knows where they go expensive. The detached doesn't look, on principle as much as for comfort. The giver keeps it circulating and serves themselves last.

None of these profiles is the correct one, and none is permanent: they are built out of a history, sometimes a single difficult month, and they shift. Sixteen very concrete questions — the bill at a table of six, the forgotten subscriptions, tomorrow's surprise expense — are enough to find out which one is deciding when you aren't paying attention.

How it works

Every answer credits one of the six money personalities. Your profile is the one that dominates across all sixteen questions, with pressure situations — a surprise bill, a loan request, a shared bill — weighing as much as stated intentions.
