Are You the Toxic Ex?

We're not judging the relationship. We're judging what you did right after it.

About this test

Everyone wonders whether their ex was toxic. Nobody wonders the other way round, and that's exactly the gap this test tries to fill. It isn't about the relationship — who lied, who was wrong, who left first — but about the weeks that followed, which happens to be the only stretch where your behaviour was entirely your own.

The sixteen questions target checkable facts rather than intentions: how many unanswered texts, how many trips to collect your things, what you posted that night, what you did with the mutual friends, whether you changed your passwords. Intentions are always good after a breakup. Actions, much less so.

A high score doesn't make you a bad person: most of the behaviour listed here is an ordinary response to loss, and almost everyone ticks a few. But some items aren't grief, they're intrusion — keeping an access, monitoring someone's circle, asking friends to pick a side. Those deserve a genuine pause, and the test claims nothing beyond that.

How it works

Each answer is worth 0 to 6 points according to what it costs the other person, not what it costs you. An annoying text weighs less than a retained login or a mutual friend turned informant. The total is scaled to 100.
